Landlord Mike Walsh spurred on regulars, staff, locals and Marston's Brewery to show their 'glass half full' spirit, beating their £4,000 fundraising target, going on to raise £5,275!! The team's fundraising included a 40km bike ride organised by Justin Brine who rallied cyclists to raise £3,500, with 9 year old Alice showing all who took part, what a determined young lady she is. Mark Fairley stopped supping for 31 days in October - success for Stoptober! Landlord Mike signed up a sleighful of 60 Santas for the 2017 Santa Dash or Dawdle and proud brewery bosses put the head on the team's fundraising pint by donating £500! WELL DONE TEAM TALBOT HEAD - WE'RE HEALEY PROUD OF YOU!
Liam Sansam's fundraising has been up and down.....quite literally. With Hospice mascot Springy to hand, this brave young man not only scaled Snowdon but also threw caution to the wind & all the elements for that matter, by taking part in the skydive. Fantastic fundraising Liam - by raising £521.97 YOU have made a huge difference to a patient in our care.
Fundraisers don't get much cuter than these! This bunch of giggling, wriggling tots showed us how to put the 'fun into fundraising' when they tootled up to the Hospice to present their fundraising of £305. The pre-school class from First Steps Day Nursery in Littleborough, accompanied by Deputy Manager Sharon and her team, spent a crispy cold morning walking around Hollingworth Lake on their own mini Santa Dash. Before they went back to their nursery, this joyous bunch sang Christmas carols to staff and patients - definitely a Christmas moment to remember.
