I was born and raised in Townsend, TN where I have lived for the last 19 years before attending ETSU
Before choosing to attend ETSU I was given the chance to have a full track scholarship to the University of South Carolina and the University of Denver
However, after my Junior year when I tore my MCL in my right knee and a Senior season where I was only able to run in two races due to a dislocation to the same knee I lost my scholarship and needed to find some other college that was affordable and closer to home, so I started visiting colleges around Tennessee and I fell in love with ETSU's campus and the Mass Communication department after a tour during my Orientation.
Most of my life has been surrounded by sports. My Dad and Grandfather were both basketball coaches, and I've been a part of one sports team or another since I was six years old, including five varsity sports in High School, and my favorite part of watching the games on TV was the commentary how these men were able to expertly be able to decipher the game well enough for those of us at home who are amateurs of the game can understand it was like a dream come true to me.
I decided to study Mass Communications with a focus in Radio Television and Film, and hopefully five years from now I'll be there
I have already filled out a internship application for over the summer with the Vol Sports Network
