Awake My Soul...
People don't want to know what you know, they want to know that you love them.
The one thing I found really hard as a "Green Horn" in the missionary world was getting the message I have across. I found that most people perceive themselves as "too busy" to really care what you have to say or just simply not interested. So how do you go about sharing the Gospel ?
Every one has one thing in common, we all want someone to love us and obviously we like it when we feel important. Luckily we have an awesome God that has already solved this problem for us ... Love
God gave me a revelation and I realized that people first want to see your love before they will listen to your message. Love is the doorway into any and all situations. God is within us and God is Love.
The Path Before Me
Luke 9: 1-2
And he called the 12 together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal.
Matthew 28: 19
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
The one week on outreach God gave me the opportunity to baptize my first person (Praise God), but still I was unsure of what I wanted to do or what kind of ministry I was interested in.
The following week we had a teaching on the Holy Spirit and the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Stefan Hugo a man that has been teaching on the Holy Spirit in 80 countries and accompanying him was a young man named Ryan.
That week amazing things happened...
God had given me this unreal realization that we walk in the same authority as Jesus did when he was human, and then it hit me. "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these" (John 14:12)
Soon after that the Holy Spirit opened my eyes and started using me to heal people (first time ever) and what an amazing experience it was. But it didn't stop there, next He showed me a few different ways that He manifests in some people.
In that moment all doubt was removed from my mind and I knew what I wanted to do. I want to prove to people that God truly exists. I want to be the vessel that the Holy Spirit uses to reach people and touch there hearts. All I want is to be available for God.
