Giraffe by: Julie Gullett

My animal is a giraffe. It is a mammal. It's habitat is a grassland in Africa. It eats leaves. It looks like a 14-19 foot mammal that weighs over 1,700 pounds, and has cream and brown colored spots covering its body. It moves by walking and running. Some interesting facts about this animal are that it has a 25 pound heart so it can pump enough blood to reach the giraffe's brain, a giraffe's legs are taller than a human, and they can run 35 mph. I chose this animal because I wanted to know more about them after seeing them at the zoo this summer.
