Note from Mr Higginbottom

Hello! Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term. Our children returned on Tuesday and got straight back on with learning - this is great! There's lots to look forward to this term; see the dates section at the end of this newsletter - I'll keep it in the newsletter each week and add to it when there's more dates to tell you about.

There were two classes with amazing attendance this week - Y1/2P and Y3/4R both had 99.1%! Fabulous!

Parents' Evenings

Parents' evening appointments will be offered in person and online/via telephone. Each phase (for example: all classes in y3/4) will hold their meetings at the same time, so the dates will be different for each phase. Phase leaders will tell you the dates of the meeting next week and you'll be able to book appointments via the Arbor app - so please ensure that you have access to this now in preparation. Please be aware that these meetings must be time limited to a maximum of 10 minutes, so if you need a longer appointment, please arrange this with your child's teacher or me. Thank you.

Remembrance - Royal British Legion

Our Year 6 children will be selling Poppies and other items all next week at break times. The suggested prices for items are: Poppies: donation. Zip pull: 50p. Poppy reflector: 50p. Silicon Wristband: £1. Snap Band: £1.50.

School Tucker Trial: In celebration of National School Meals Week, children who have school lunches next week will earn gold stars on a 'School Tucker Trial Passport'. A fun way to be involved in this national event in schools.

Thank you for your continued support of our school and for supporting your child by ensuring they're at school on time and they read at least 4 times each week. If you would like to discuss any aspect of your child's time in school you can email enquiries@sqp.wwpat.org, find me on ClassDojo or chat to me at the start or end of the school day.

At Swinton Queen Primary School, children are aspirational, courageous and inquisitive; respectful of all.
