Marco Polo was born in Venice, Italy, 1254

Marco Polo's parents names were Niccolo Polo and Maffeo Polo. In 1260 when Marco was only six years old his parents Niccolo Polo and Maffeo Polo went off to sail to the east and nine years later they finally came back. In 1271 Marco, Niccolo and Maffeo set out on a journey. In 1275 the Polo family came to a stop at the palace of Kublai Khan. Stayed there for seventeen years and finally at last they set sail for home.

The Polo family made it home three years later in 1295 and 1 year after that Marco Polo got captured in battle

1274 1295Marco Polo went from Venice, Italy, in the Mediterranean sea to the middle east. They then went off for the southeast over land to Persia ( which is now Iran), then through the Pamir Mountains and the Gobi Dessert, to Beijing, China. they also explored the area south of Beijing, including Yunan and Szechuan. Marco Polo was a Venetian merchant believed to have journeyed across Asia at the height of the Mongol Empire. He first set out at age 17 with his father and uncle, traveling overland along what later became known as The Silk Road. Marco Polo explored for about 40 years but for exact 38 years.
Marco Polo tells everyone his story in 1298 about how far he traveled and why he did it and everything about what he did during his years gone.
After that he stopped exploring and died in 1324.
