The style portrayed in Supernatural is spot on to the modern day fashion of a mid/southern, 25-35 year old man. Flannels, jeans, boots, and a panel/corduroy jacket is the average fit. I see this outfit worn by many men wherever I go, especially in the Midwest. Kerry Weinrauch did an excellent job of Paralleling the two worlds simultaneously. I do not believe there is a way she could have chosen a better style for Sam and Dean Winchester.

This show may not influence the fashion, but it follows it very closely. Up to date trends keep the show fresh and new. The outfits worn by the cast would be commonly seen by many people in the real world on a day to day basis.
