Marco Polo and the Silk Road
The reopening of the Silk Road helped spark the Renaissance.Marco Polo used the Silk Road to get from one place to another, which allowed him to make a book about his journeys and that helped the Renaissance.In the text it says “Among these traders were a remarkable man from Venice named Marco Polo and his family”(Holt 299).In the text it also states “The Polos saw many amazing things in China”(Holt 300).This show that Marco Polo used this Road to go to other places which gave him ideas which he brought back home.In conclusion the reopening of the Silk Road helped Marco Polo go to a lot of different place that gave him new ideas, which he brought back home with, this started people's curiosity about Asia.
