Marco Polo and the Silk Road

The reopening of the Silk Road helped spark the Renaissance.Marco Polo used the Silk Road to get from one place to another, which allowed him to make a book about his journeys and that helped the Renaissance.In the text it says “Among these traders were a remarkable man from Venice named Marco Polo and his family”(Holt 299).In the text it also states “The Polos saw many amazing things in China”(Holt 300).This show that Marco Polo used this Road to go to other places which gave him ideas which he brought back home.In conclusion the reopening of the Silk Road helped Marco Polo go to a lot of different place that gave him new ideas, which he brought back home with, this started people's curiosity about Asia.

Rediscovering the Past (Greek and Roman)

Greek and Roman classical ideas helped shape the development of the Renaissance. They helped them by allowing them to learn how to make thier work about humanism look similar. In the Document 3 it says "artists studies these ancient statues and tried to make their work look similar to them"(Document 3). This shows that they used the Greek and Roman classical art to make thier art look better. In conclusion Greek and Roman classical art allowed people to make thier art about humanism better which helped the Renaissance.

William Shakespeare's writing reflected the idea of humanism.He reflected the idea of humanism by showing his understanding of humanity.In the text it says "Ever since, people have enjoyed the beauty of Shakespeare's language and his understanding of humanity"(Holt 317).This shows that he reflects humanity by showing his understanding of humanity.Also William Shakespeare attracted a big audience by speaking in vernacular.In the text it says "Ever since, people have enjoyed the beauty of Shakespeare's language..."(Holt 317).This shows that, because he spoke in vernacular people flocked all over to see him.In conclusion Shakespeare showed his understanding of humanity and he also spoke in vernacular so many people wanted to watch his plays
