Inherit The Dead Twenty Thrilling Writers, One Chilling mystery

Summary

This book is about a former cop named Pericles "Perry" Christo who lost his badge and his family when a corruption scandal left him broke and disgraced. When Upper East Side matron Julia Drusilla summons him one cold February night, he grabs what seems to be a straightforward and lucrative case. His job is to find this woman's daughter named Angelina. But as Christo digs deeper, he discovers there's more to this little "Angel" that meets the eye. This classic noir tale twists and turns down New York's mean streets and along Hampton's beaches and back roads during a bitterly cold and gray winter where nothing is as it seems and everyone has something to hide.

Main Characters

Perry Christo- A former cop who was disgraced and fired for a corruption scandal and therefore lost his wife and daughter after they divorced. Now he just sits around depressed and missing his daughter very much while he also runs his own little detective agency and will take anyone's case.

Julia Drusilla- A wealthy socialite living in the Upper East Side of New York who has lost her daughter and desperately wants to get her back. Like Perry, she is also divorced and doesn't regularly see her daughter that much. She is very pale and bony claiming that she is sick and looks like she's dying.

Angelina "Angel" Drusilla- A young woman who is the daughter of Julia who is about to become very wealthy after her mother dies. She used to live with her father because she never really gets along with her mother that much. She has now gone missing and it is very shocking to Christo and her mother. She is described as being very rebellious and has soon to grow up and take responsibility.

What I Like and Dislike

I really like how unique it is for twenty writers to write one very thrilling novel together. That way everyone can chip in and put their part into the story

I didn't like how it took itself to seriously at some points. They are putting this book to a much higher level than it has any right to be at and it don't think it's that amazing so far.
