JEN JONES Powder Slayer

Jen Jones is a Big Mountain Freerider with big dreams. Her current base camp is Lake Tahoe, the home mountain is Squaw Alpine but she travels the world searching for the endless winter, filming and competing in the Freeride World Tour Qualifiers. Jen has her sights set on the ultimate quest of landing a spot on the Freeride World Tour.

When did you first start snowboarding? I started snowboarding 10 years ago, but was introduced to freeriding and big mountain comps when I lived in Alta, Utah in the Peruvian lodge.

What are some of your goals in the sport? The ultimate quest is to compete on the Freeride World Tour in Women's Snowboarding. I am a passionate snowboarder who is constantly trying to progress in every aspect of my snowboarding. I’m not nearly where I want to be and have a long way to go. I’m fortunate enough to have the support from my husband in this journey.

What do you like to do with your free time? If I’m not competing I like to spend my time in the back country. So far I have spent 3 years consecutively chasing an endless winter that has led me to Argentina, Chile, and New Zealand.

If I can’t be on my snowboard, then you’ll find me surfing concrete on my skateboard.

Snowboarding is my life and my passion.

Some of Jen's favorite places to ride are Squaw, Japan and New Zealand.

My Pre-Riding ritual is morning stretching, foam roll, and repeating my mantra that I have learned from my mental coach - “ I will find the flow in the mountains -And COFFEE" 😂
