Biographical Information

Elvis Aaron Presley was born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi.

He had a twin brother, Jessie Garon, who died at birth.

In 1948, Elvis and his parents, Vernon and Gladys, moved to Memphis, where his career would soon spark.

He graduated from Humes High School in 1953.

In 1954, when Elvis was 19 years old, his career as a singer began with the Sun Records label, and in 1955, RCA Victor.

Also in 1954, he also recorded his first single, "That's All Right" and it became a hit.

By 1957, he released his first songs, such as "Heartbreak Hotel" and "Money Money", and he had three motion pictures out, such as the famous "Jailhouse Rock".

In 1958, Elvis joined the Army, and he was discharged in 1960.

Elvis had starred in a total of 33 motion pictures in his lifetime, and he has sold over one billion records, the most records ever to be sold.

Priscilla Ann Wagner/Beaulieu was born on May 24, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York

Her father, James Wagner, passed away in a plane crash when she was a few months old.

Priscilla's last name changed to Beaulieu when her mother, Ann, remarried in 1948 to a man named Paul Beaulieu, who was an Air Force officer.

She and her family moved numerous times throughout her childhood.

Priscilla is an actress and a businesswoman. It was not until her marriage to Elvis when she started training and studying acting.

Priscilla officially became both an actress and businesswoman after Elvis' death.

She is executor of Graceland, and has a clothing line, fragrance line, and a line of skin care products.

From 1983 to 1988, she was in a soap opera known as Dallas.

She also starred in three Naked Gun movies.

Love Story

They met at a party in Germany.

Priscilla was 14, and Elvis was 24.

Elvis was serving in the U.S. Army, and Priscilla's father was stationed in Germany.

Elvis and Priscilla had a courtship for eight years before marriage.

Elvis and Priscilla married on May 1, 1967 in the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas.

The newlyweds had their first and only child, Lisa Marie, on February 1, 1968.

Lisa Marie is now a singer/songwriter, and she is 49 years old. She has four children: Riley (27), Benjamin (24), and twins Harper and Finley (8)

Elvis and Priscilla divorced in 1973 because of Elvis' drug-dependency and his affairs with other women, but the couple still remained friends and raised Lisa Marie together.

Elvis passed away in his home, Graceland, Memphis on August 16, 1977.

Today, Graceland is a thriving tourist attraction of all of the history of Elvis Presley.

Elvis and Priscilla were one of the most adored couples of the 1960s and 70s. Everyone was curious to know what it was like to be married to the King of Rock n' Roll.

In 1985, Priscilla later wrote a memoir about their relationship, which was called Elvis and Me. Three years later, her writing became a movie.
