Is Matter important? oropeza anthony

Matter takes up space. Volume is the amount of space an object takes. Matter takes up space like If you have cup and fill it with water and then you put a rock the cup, the water will spill because the rock is taking the amount of space the water had.

Temperature changes matter. A solid can change to a liquid when you heat it up. If you put ice cream in a hot pot the ice cream will melt and change to a liquid so that is called melting.

Heating up liquid can change matter to a gas. Like if you put vegetables and if the pot is full there is no more space and just put hot water the gas will evaporate. Changes a solid because when the solid changes to a liquid and if you put hot water on the liquid the liquid changes to melting.
