India

(1526-1858) It all started with a small global trading company, the East India company, that grew and grew and eventually conquered much of South Asia. India became the "jewel in the crown" of the biggest empire in history. When smaller European ships first landed on the shores of South Asia in the earlier 1600's looking for spices they faced merchants periphery of the Mughal Empire, a kingdom that has more power and much more bigger than any other country in Europe in that time era. they ruled over massive and distinct land of deserts, large rivers, thick forests, plateaus, grasslands, and mountains. Many of this separated a lot of groups. There were religious Sikhs in the Punjab to the West, Muslims in Bengal to the East, Hindu Maratha tribes in the Deccan Plateau, Tamil speakers in the Deccan Plateau, Tamil speakers in the South, and Hindu princes in Hyderabad. To stop this distinct and massive land successfully the Mughal emperors often shared power with regional leaders. The land and people were too distinct and massive. Before the Europeans arrived, no enemies had ever invaded India from the sea. Europeans came slowly at first looking for trade than invading them. They desired valuable spices from what they called the East Indies.

Africa

This was sometimes called "The Scramble for Africa" , the European imperialism was caused by losing American colonies during the 1700's-1800's. France, Britain, Portugal, Spain, and Germany were fighting for African territory to replace their lost American work force and authority basic materials. The European imperialism is the second wave of European establishment which started in the America's in the 15th century. The Berlin conference started the main era of European Imperialism in Africa. The major European powers signed the Berlin Act, they decide the separating of Africa. Hostile tribes were thrown together, conflicting loyalties had grave consequences for the African tribes, natural dividing lines such as rivers or mountains were not considered.

Asia

The beginning of the 20th century, Britain, France, Russia, Japan and Germany had control of many parts of China. The British had led the way in forcing themselves to the Chinese, with other not very far behind them. Foreign powers controlled much of China's economy. Russia built railways across Manchuria and took control of what the English called Port Arthur by hiring the peninsula there from the Chinese. China had conceded other "treaty ports" which the foreigners were using as naval stations. The imperial powers had forced China's government to allow people to trade with them and to have foreign activity, including railways and mining companies. China was obliged to accept Christian missionaries, about 2000 of them. China was forced to accept special privileges for Chinese converts to Christianity, and it was forced to accept "extraterritorial" the rights for foreigners, or obedience to their own laws rather than to Chinese laws.

America

Through the years there has been many instances where the Americans have taken over other people countries, almost every time we go into another country we have taken over a new piece of land. The Americas first taste of imperialism came about five hundred years ago when Columbus came to America. We fought the pleasant colonists and then took over their land making them slaves. Americans over the years have been known to become known as selfish, no matter how much we have we will never be happy until we control the free world. . Another case of Imperialism was the United States industrial economy was growing so fast that they were producing more goods than they could consume. The over plenty of industrial goods led the United States to look for new markets. Next came the Spanish-American War, which started with the Americans not liking the way that the Spaniards treated the Cubans. After this an U.S. battleship, Maine, was docked outside of Havana and all of a sudden exploded from under the sea.
