Aixa welcomes Klemens to the US

Seventeen students and two teachers from Philanthropinum in Dessau, Germany arrived in McAllen to join their Med High hosts for 3 weeks of study and cultural immersion.

Exploring More of South Texas

U.S.S. Lexington, the beach and the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi.
We celebrated birthdays, gave our new friends Med High bling, learned German,and went on field trips.

And then it was time to say goodbye until June!

Suddenly it was our turn to visit!

We're on our way!

Our friends hosted a welcome breakfast for us.

We worked and had fun at school.

We visited a beautiful spa that specializes in rehabilitation.

Spring water, special mud, and schnitzel for LUNCH!

We had a beautiful, chilly field trip up to the Harz Mountains. There were beautiful views, witches, and upside-down houses.

and back down again.

Did we mention that they fed us constantly? Even healthy foods like flammkuchen, schnitzel, fresh fruits and veggies, and LOTS of bread.

We saw all kinds of architecture, new and old, traditional and the famous Bauhaus.

Then it was time to say Auf Wiedersehen to our German families and friends.
