Adopt a Mountaineer

In Canada, 1 in 3 families can’t afford to enrol their kids in organized sports.

This season, you can help change that.

If kids aren’t playing sports they are losing out on an opportunity to benefit from all that it has to offer.

Playing sports teaches them about team work, self confidence, leadership, goal setting and the role that practice plays in achieving goals.

How do I adopt a Mountaineer?

Player Registration

We won't turn away a child simply because they cannot afford to play.

But we need your help. Our players pay registration fees to help offset costs associated with running our programs. We have families and players in Mimico that may have difficulty keeping their children involved in recreational activities. It costs us over $300 each year for each house league player and almost $600 for rep. Every little bit helps.

Sponsor a Team

To continue to grow and represent our community with pride, Mimico Lacrosse is working toward developing strategic partnerships with local businesses offering exposure to lacrosse supporters within our club and other lacrosse communities across the province.

We offer a variety of options and can arrange something to suit any budget giving you the full recognition you deserve.

Donations are always accepted

This is a great way to give back to the program as well as a family who needs it. If your equipment doesn't fit you anymore you can always hand it down to younger Mountaineer.

Great programs are built upon and rely on the help of loyal supporters.

Our alumni are the backbone of our success. Everything that we have accomplished would not have been possible without them.
They have fueled our success and set an example for younger Mountaineers so we can continue to develop. The Adopt-a-Mountaineer program is an opportunity to extend their support and reach out to the community to help us grow the game. — Colleen Grimes, Vice President of Rep
