  • 2017:Named to the ASC Honorable Mention All-Conference Team. Hit .299 with five doubles, 14 RBI and 26 hits. Posted a .378 on-base percentage. Homered once and ended the year with 34 total bases. Had seven multiple-hit games, including a 5-for-5 performance against Grinnell College. Drove in three runs behind a two-hit effort against Hendrix College. Had a three-hit effort against Louisiana College. Had three RBI in a one-hit effort also against Louisiana College.

Tossed a season-high 4.1 innings against Williams Baptist. Threw a hitless inning against two different opponents.

  • 2017: Made four starts and appeared in 11 games. Finished with 18.2 innings and 11 strikeouts. Tossed a season-high five innings against Millikin. Did not allow a run in back-to-back outings in March. Threw hitless innings against three opponents.
  • 2016: Named to the All-ASC Honorable Mention Team. Posted a 2-4 record in 12 appearances and 42.1 innings of work. Struck out 24 while owning a 4.89 ERA. Named ASC Pitcher of the Week after tossing a three-hit complete game shutout against Mary Hardin-Baylor March 19. In that game, issued only one walk over seven innings and allowed just five base runners. Fanned a season-best six against Texas-Tyler April 15.
  • PLANO WEST HS: Finished with a 2.97 ERA and a 2-7 record. Named to the All-District Second Team as a senior. Helped team to a co-district championship and a regional championship as a sophomore.

#24 Breyden Varner

Posted 16 multiple-hit games and drove in two or more runs 11 times. Had four three-hit games. Drove in four runs against Mary Hardin-Baylor and had two doubles three times. Scored four times against Howard Payne and Belhaven. Finished last 13 games 21-for-56 (.375). Had two hits in four straight games during that stretch. Was one of only two players to start in all 40 games.

  • 2017: Named to the Honorable Mention All-Conference Team after posting one of the top freshman seasons in program history. Led the team with a .390 batting average, and recorded a team-best 57 hits, 32 RBI and six home runs. Finished second on the team in slugging percentage (.582), runs (27), total bases (85) and on-base percentage (.465). Had 10 doubles, third-most on the team. Homered and drove in five runs against McMurry and posted a three-hit, four-RBI game against LeTourneau. Had 19 multiple-hit games and finished the season on a 15-game hitting streak. During that stretch, he hit .500 (29-of-58). Set two freshman records for the program and tied another, including most hits (57), most total bases (85) and most home runs (6-tie). At the end of the ASC regular season, ranked sixth in batting and hits, and ninth in on-base percentage. Had seven three-hit games and had eight multiple-run games. Went 3-for-3 with three RBI against Hendrix College. Had three hits and two runs against four different opponents.
  • Started 86 games during his high school career, hitting for a combined average of .536. He finished the year hitting .710 as a senior. Named to the:
