I can't even imagine the mental anguish my dad had to go through in those final 4 weeks, He was so brave.
It was only after Dad died that I read that someone is diagnosed with a brain tumour in England every 2 hours and less than 20% of brain tumour patients survive beyond 5 years of their diagnosis.
So what are my challenges? Here is a taster of things to come:
I am shaving my hair to raise the profile of Brain Tumour Research on Saturday 18 February. I will be donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust that provides real hair wigs free of charge to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
Join me in wearing a hat on the 31 March to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. East Northamptonshire Council will be participating so please bring your hat and a £1 donation.
Ffrancon and Cai will be doing a Superhero fun run in Milton Keynes on 1 May.
I'm going to take on the longest zip wire in Europe in North Wales (with the support of some lovely if not bonkers friends). Date to be confirmed. I am very scared on heights!!
August - I will attempt to swim 250 lengths of the local swimming pool without stopping!
I hope to raise money by hosting a quiz in a local pub.
Ffrancon and I will undertake the Royal Parks half marathon on Sunday 8 October.
