A tornado forms when warm moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool dry air from Canada and mix. Thunderstorms are also needed to form tornadoes. Tornadoes also can cause damage to people and their homes. On may 4, 2003 384 tornadoes ripped through 19 states destroying homes and killing people.
A thunderstorm is a disturbance in the atmosphere. Thunderstorms bring heavy rain, lighting and thunder. Thunderstorms are formed when humid air rises and cools. When the air rises it forms clouds and then the clouds form ice crystals which become to heavy for the clouds too carry so they fall as precipitation. Thunderstorms can also hail which is very dangerous because they can break windows, dent cars and injure people.
Wildfires can be very dangerous and can cause a lot of damage to people, animals and the trees in the forest. But sometimes this natural disaster can be good for the environment because it makes humus for the soil which can help plants grow. Wildfires occur seasonally and usually burn grasslands first because of all the dry grass which fuel the fire.
