CCM Foundation's - "Art on the Streets" contest

Art on the Streets is an annual art contest for middle and high school aged kids in the Houston area. The current theme is World AIDS Day.

HEAVYWEIGHT TEENS - AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM

CCM Health & Wellness has a group of continually expanding social wellness programs. This program promotes a healthy diet and an active lifestyle for middle and high school aged youths. Heavyweight, not only provides structure for weight loss, but serves as a guide for maintaining a healthy weight, healthy diet and bmi.

BIG DECISIONS ABSTINENCE PROGRAM

This program is carefully crafted to give young people the information they need to make responsible decisions and understand that abstinence is the best alternative.

Helping to increase positive decision making skills and combat teen pregnancy through abstinence and other means.

TEEN TALENT SEARCH

Our teen talent search provided a way for talented teens to get out and perform before a large crowd and scouts for various record labels. The winners received various prizes including free studio time. The event went a long way towards providing a great deal of information about CCM and it's health & wellness programs.

CCM Wellness Day

Provided blood pressure and glucose screening, eye and hearing exams and more for the surrounding community.

We were able to bring the community out with incentives of free food, entertainment, gifts and prizes

GAMMA CHAT DISCUSSION PANEL

A day long discussion involving members of Gammu Mu Phi Fraternity, covering a variety of health subjects that effect African American MSMs in the Greater Houston area and nationwide.

Kiki Ball

This event focused on bringing out the LGBTQ Community to provide information on health and welleness in an informal and entertaining setting.

COLLEGE DAYZ

Held on the campus of Texas Southern University, a historically black university in Houston Texas. College Dayz provided information for college students faced with the prospect of making a variety of life decisions based on acclimating to college life, being away from home for the first time and peer pressure.

A variety of events focusing on the health of African American and Latino Youths.

THE CHAD BUTLER, HIP HOP HEALTH & WELLNESS FESTIVAL

An annual event named for famous Texas hip hop artist, Chad "Pimp C" Butler of the legendary group, UGK. This event provides a variety of health screenings along with information and exposure to the variety of programs provided by CCM Foundation.

SPOILED LATINA DAY - 2016

The sold-out event to celebrate women in all facets of their lives was a huge success! Yvonne Guidry, founder of the popular Houston-based lifestyle blog SpoiledLatina.com, made sure that guests walked away empowered, motivated and stronger with the desire to work hard but knowing that they deserve to “spoil themselves a bit more without feeling guilty about it.” Some of the panelists included were Raq-C Cordova, a motivational speaker based in LA; Devi Brown, a TV and radio personality; Joy Sewing, the Beauty and Fashion Editor at Houston Chronicle; Zanetta Jones of the Houston Rockets; Tyzza Macias, founder of Factory Glam; Yuridia Gonzalez of 104.5 Radio; Lisa Valadez, Assistant Publisher at Houston Style Magazine; and Athena Anestia, local influencer who is helping people live better and healthier lives. Ticket sale proceeds were donated to CCM Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed to promote health and wellness outreach to teens and young adults through education and entertainment.
