19th April, 7pm

Back by popular demand! You'll have the chance to refine your drawing skills on a new subject with Mick McNicholas.

Mick McNicholas is a Representational Artist, working primarily in dry media. Originally from Liverpool, with an MA in Digital Media, Mick is largely self-taught with regards to the traditional methods of Fine Art. However, over the years he has attended various open classes, most recently at the Royal Drawing School, and now runs his own life drawing sessions as Wokingham Life-Drawing Society. Read more about Mick on his website: http://www.mickmcnicholas.co.uk

You may want to bring an apron to protect your clothes, or wear old clothes and please bring a drawing board / cardboard if you can! Mick will supply a limited number of drawing boards, paper, charcoal, expertise and of course a model!

Please pre-register at http://www.caterhamwi.com/pre-register by the 12th April.

REFREsHMENTS:

It's a Spring / Easter theme for this one. Feel free to share your leftover Easter eggs or treats with the group!

Please also bring:

  • Money or "makes" for the Here's One I Made Earlier table
  • Unwanted goods (food, clothes or other random things to give away) for the One Woman's Junk table. The only rule of the table is that at the end of the evening if your items are still there you take them home again.
  • Raffle money
  • Stripey Stork donations (see below)
  • Apron & drawing board

Stripey stork

Thank you again to everyone for the donations last month. Stripey Stork were able to give Mother's Day gifts to 184 mothers, you can read about those receiving the gifts on their Facebook page.

This month we are collecting the usual items such as shampoos and other toiletries. Also, as voted for at the last meeting we will be using the money raised in the raffle to purchase items for the charity so don't forget your change! Stripey Stork will be attending our May meeting so we can give the items to them then!

FILM CLUB

We are proposing a few more outings to the Miller Centre for their monthly film club. The next screening is of Spotlight on Monday 10th April at 8pm.

Please buy your own ticket directly from the Miller Centre or their website. They do not have a box office to buy tickets on the night. We suggest buying with a friend to be seated together, although if it is not busy we may be able to sit as a group. Email us to let us know you plan to attend and we will message everyone going to arrange to meet in the foyer around 7.45pm. Also, let us know if you are interested in dinner beforehand and we will check with the group for any takers.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE NEXT MEETING!
