14-15/ you can only work 3 hours once a week during school but summer you can work 8 hours and 40 hours a week no later than 7 p.m. during the school year and no later than 9 p.m. between June 1 and Labor Day.

16-17/there is no limit on how many hours you can work if you're under 18 you can't work in a job that the Labor Department considers hazardous.
