For our 2016 Season we have Active Works for our registration platform. This will change a few things from what they were in the past, but we feel we can deliver a far superior end product with some of the features we now have available to us. Please follow along with a short "How To" description.
When you click the link to Register, either through our website (www.lex-artis.net) or the facebook event page, it will take you here. This is the registration screen for the Rookie Rumble. The "Session List" dictates what DIVISION you are going to sign up for. As a MALE, I am going to choose the Male/Male Division. If you were to click on the blue writing "Rookie Rumble - Female/Female Division" you would bring up a pop up window with the event description. (This same description can be found on our website AND the facebook event page)
Once I "ADD" the selection to my cart. I make sure the "quantity" is 1 and I click "Continue"
Click "Continue" will bring you to this screen. You will enter your e-mail address. Since you have never registered for an event through Active Events you will NOT have an account yet. You will be directed to create an account. (this way, if you sign up for an event in the future the process will be streamlined). Once you are "in", click "Next"
That "Next" will bring this up. This is where the biggest change is taking place. All of our events moving forward will have you signing up INDIVIDUALLY. So, on this screen I will create our "GROUP NAME" (i.e. our Team Name). I will also create a password. This password will be shared with my partner so when they register they can "JOIN AN EXISTING GROUP". If you were the partner, you would select "join an existing group", you would type in the group name (i.e. Team Name"), and the password. This is what will "link" the two athletes together as teammates. (this is the same process for other team events in which there may be 4 or 6 members on each team). The first person to register "Creates" a new "Group" (i.e. Team), and everyone else just "joins" that group. Once this is done, click "CONTINUE".
On this next screen is where I will enter all of my personal information and answer any questions that are specific to this event. This is the screen where you will be making your T-shirt type and size selections.
At the bottom of this screen is where you are accepting your Waiver and Terms and Conditions. Please pay special attention to these two parts (please don't say we try to hide anything or bury it in small print):
TEAMMATE(S) TERMS AND CONDITIONS
When you sign up for an event and create a team, you have taken up 1 team spot. It is your responsibility to ensure that your teammate(s) complete their registration and pay their fee prior to the close of registration. If by the close of registration your teammate(s) have not completed their registration, you will be charged the FULL REGISTRATION AMOUNT FOR THE TEAM. All terms and conditions of our refund policy will apply.
Once you sign up for an event 100% of all fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Once you sign up for an event the MAXIMUM refund granted will be 90% of registration cost (i.e. a 10% service fee will apply to ALL refunds). At 21 days prior to an event the MAXIMUM refund granted will be 50% of registration cost. Once registration is closed, there will be NO refunds granted. ALL refund requests MUST be sent via E-MAIL ONLY to email@example.com
This final screen is where you will enter in your payment information and check out.
Once you have completed your registration, you will get a confirmation e-mail. DON'T DELETE THIS E-MAIL. There is a link on the e-mail that will allow you to login to your account and make any edits that you need to. This will also allow to look up your team name or password if you forget it.
