Thanks to the generosity of the Jeanie Anderson Memorial Fund, 22 students in Bordeaux were treated to a weekend excursion in Dordogne, France! Students visited la ferme du Parcot, a park and 19th century farm that demonstrates historical activities from the region. The group enjoyed a dinner and evening of storytelling and songs from the Middle Ages, performed in the Occitan regional language.
They stayed at le Manior du Chambon, a house originally built in the 16th century. The following day, students had a guided tour of the Lascaux Cave reproduction and museum. They had free time in Montignac, a beautiful nearby village, before returning to Bordeaux.
