Juan Luis Guerra Seijas ,Born: June 7, 1957 (age 59 years), In Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic known professionally as Juan Luis Guerra, he's a Dominican singer, songwriter, composer, and producer. He has sold over 30 million records.
Attended Berklee college of music and When he went there, he was a Pat Metheny wannabe. he loved his music-and still does. he also loved Wes Montgomery and wanted to learn to play jazz guitar.
He and his band 440 are beloved throughout the Latino world. He is influential among the wave of artists responsible for revitalizing tropical music that languished during the late '80s due to radio oversaturation and lack of innovation.
As a teen, he was influenced by the Beatles and by the music of the U.S. hippies. Initially, he taught himself the basics of guitar playing and liked the many genres of jazz.
