Who We Are:
The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) is a federal grant that provides out-of-school learning time for students across the nation. With the use of these funds and PDE support, the Shikellamy School District is able to provide STEAM related curriculum through afterschool and summer programming.
What we do:
Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade receive homework help, tutoring, and STEAM related enrichment through afterschool and summer programs. Students in 9th through 12th grade are offered credit recovery programming during the school year and summer.
The 21st CCLC Afterschool STEAM Program provides students with an exciting approach to education. Students will have the opportunity to work with school day teachers and expand their knowledge through hands on learning and discovery. In addition to enrichment learning, the STEAM program offers students guided homework help, physical activity, and healthy meals provided by the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
