DEAD PALM FRONDS REMOVED

Inspectors spent the month of October focusing their attention on palm trees with excessive dead palm fronds. Inspectors explained to the property owners the dangers of dead or dying fronds, such as injuries caused by falling fronds, potential traffic and fire hazards. Removal of the dead or dying fronds prevents damage to buildings or houses during high winds.

The property owners were either issued a verbal warning or given a courtesy notice request to remove the dead or dying fronds. After a final inspection indicated compliance, staff closed the cases. Staff would like to thank the property owners for their compliance.
