The Stress in Testing Jake Dunkley

Testing promotes a style of teaching that requires an excessive amount of homework and is thought of as boring by students.

School is meant to be an encouraging place for students to learn in interactive, fun, and creative ways.

Testing promotes memorization rather than comprehension which leads to stress among students.

School administrations should decrease reliance on testing scores because of the restrictions on both teachers and students.

Students spend all school year rushing to memorize content for end of year testing, which minimizes time for creative learning methods.
