A five-year action plan to close infant mortality gaps in the County will be introduced on Friday, April 6. Alongside community partners, we will share innovative strategies for addressing high rates of infant mortality impacting Black, Native American and Native Hawaiian families.
The specific aim of the plan, is a reduction in the black-white inequality in infant mortality by 30% in five years.
Birth outcomes differ sharply based on the race and ethnicity of residents, with the sharpest difference occurring between white women and African American women.
Join us at High Desert Regional Health Center, 335 E. Avenue I, Room 11A, Lancaster, CA 93535 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
