8.5 hours of guided lectures are supplemented with self-guided research on social media platforms, quizzes, and discussion boards. The team that reviewed the course during the beta-test spent an average of 21 hrs to complete the course. The total hours of the course will vary as it is self-paced and students may test out of the first lesson, which is a social media overview.
The launch of this course is another step forward for DINFOS curriculum with many to follow. DINFOS' Social Media leads are already tracking potential service specific social media policy updates and what content in course -photo, video, or narration- can be improved to provide a relevant course for our DoD and service branch customers.
