Digital Communication- One of the greatest successes in the world is the ability to easily communicate with others. We can interact through forms of message and phone call. The expanding options have changed the way people do everything. In a job we use a computer, or in a school we use research through technology. Digital Communication allows us to keep a constant interaction with another person, even if its thousand of miles away.


Digital Access- Technology users need to be aware that not everyone has access to the internet. Digital exclusions makes it difficult to grow as a society. Helping to expand digital access should be the starting point of digital citizenship. In order to keep a content environment we must be committed to make sure that no one is denied digital access.


Digital Rights & Responsibilities- Digital Rights are those freedoms everyone has in a digital world. Basic digital rights in the digital world in qualities like plagiarism are understood. People must also comprehend their responsibilities. In a digital world these two work together in order to maintain an appropriate environment.


Digital Security- In a digital world people have access to do anything. In our own homes, we put locks on our doors for protection. We need to have virus protection, backups of data, and surge control of our equipment.


Digital Law- Digital Law describes those responsibilities we need to follow and preserve in a digital world. Actions such as plagiarism, hacking, or stealing identity should not be preformed.

Digital Commerce- A large share of market economy is done electronically. Digital commerce is the electronic buying and selling of goods. However, some illegal activities such as illegal downloading conflict with laws and morals of countries. This video gives us a glimpse of a world filled with Digital Commerce.

Digital Health & Wellness- This component explains the physical and physiological well-being in a digital world. Users need to be aware of those dangers such as bullying or internet addiction. The most common issue we are faced with is catfish. This unresolved problem has ways to be fixed, such as to avoid speaking to anyone we don't know.


Digital Etiquette- This component describes electronic standards of conduct. We must teach everyone to become responsible digital citizens in society.

Digital Literacy is the ability to understand information online. It is to evaluate and integrate data in “multiple formats” that the computer can deliver. We can't understand the information without evaluating its sources and placing its context. Fundamentally, people have the ability to manipulate tasks in a digital world. This is why we teach them digital literacy.
