Life @Parky february 2021

Generosity of Spirit

Generosity of spirit is the openness and willingness to share our own ‘gifts’ freely with others, joyously and willingly and without expectation of receiving anything in return. Generosity of spirit is created through respect and compassion for others; it involves experiencing and celebrating that which is important to another person.

When we share in this way, we generate abundance and increase prosperity for all. This helps us...

  • make a difference and transform situations;
  • generate creative and innovative solutions;
  • lead by example;
  • strengthen our acceptance of responsibility and that of others;
  • share our wisdom and knowledge for everyone’s benefit;
  • explore and build connecting threads where there were none before;
  • ...and foster peace and harmony.

And we can celebrate all that becomes possible as a result!

Paradoxically, while being generous in spirit means not expecting anything in return, it yields more to us than we could ever imagine. What we have given will come back to us in ways we may never have expected.

What have you given away freely? When have you felt able to be generous of spirit, expecting nothing in return? What has come back to you as a result?

Safe WA

As our Parky Ministries start up again for 2021, don't forget that Mandatory Reporting is still in place for all churches and many other places of business. If you are meeting at the church for any reason can you please enter the time, your name and contact number on the reporting sheet in the church foyer or office reception areas, otherwise snap in your attendance using the QR codes on the entrance doors and the Safe WA app.

The app can be downloaded via the Apple App store https://apps.apple.com/au/app/safewa/id1539602865

or the Google Play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.gov.wa.health.SafeWA

For our Sunday morning services, we need to keep a close eye on attendance numbers for our capacity limits, so if you're in our system Deanne can note your attendance at the check-in desk to save you using the app.

Many thanks for your understanding!

Pray for those attending the coffee morning, for a sense of fellowship and friendship as they catch up.

Continue to pray for preparations for our Church Weekend Away, that this will be an opportunity for both young and old, new and established, to take time out, relax and get to know each other a little better.

Continue to pray for the Parky Care Team, giving thanks for the difference they are making in the lives of those they have contact with from our community.

Continue to pray for God's prompting on our church family, for people to step up and fill gaps in our volunteer ranks.

Continue to pray for provision to meet our financial needs this year. Pray for continued wisdom in our financial management and generosity in spirit as a church.
