When creating this kit, I wanted it to be something that was practical. I wanted to create something modern, timeless and customizable–not cute or frilly. I wanted users to be able to create a recipe book that was a reflection of a cookbook one would keep in their kitchen to use over and over again.

I originally created this kit for my online class: K.I.T: Keep It Together–The Recipe Edition at Scrapaneers.com. It was tailored for digital scrapbookers to use in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. While this kit can still be used in those programs, I did reorganize it a bit, making it more friendly for memory keepers who prefer to scrapbook with apps on their mobile devices.

This recipe kit has everything you need to document your favorite recipes and orgainze them all in one place. It’s a flexible kit that allow you to organize the sections of your book by title or color. It contains a wide variety of recipe section titles, 3 different sizes of recipe cards, and much more. Let's look at what is included in the kit:

COLOR PALETTE

All products in the kit come in every color!

RECIPE CARDS IN 3 SIZES

The kit includes 4x6 recipe cards in both horizontal and vertical formats. 6x8 and 6x12 recipes cards are included as well. All cards are either lined or unlined.

3x4 FILLER AND JOURNAL CARDS

The recipe kit has a wide variety of 3x4 filler and journal cards. Most (not all) designs are in vertical and horizontal format. All journal cards are both lined and unlined.

4x6 FILLER AND JOURNAL CARDS

The kit includes 4x6 coordinating filler and journal cards. Just like the 3x4 cards, most (not all) of the 4x6 filler and journal cards are designed in horizontal and vertical format. The journal cards are also lined and unlined.

SECTION TITLES

There are over 30 section titles to choose from if you decide to create an album with categories. While many are traditional like “poultry,” “desserts,” and “vegetable,” there are several out of the ordinary, such as “canine crunchies” and “kitchen crafts.” You do not need to use every single title. Choose the ones that reflect the way your cook and the recipes you have in your collection.

RECIPE TAGS

Layer these tags on your photos as a reminder for those recipes that freeze well, are perfect for potluck, or are vegan.

BACKGROUND PAPERS

Your kit contains a folder with patterned backgrounds. The pattern is reminiscent of subway tile, a popular backsplash in today’s modern kitchens. Papers come in all eight colors. With the exception of the 12x12 backrounds, the other sizes come in horizontal and vertical format.
