Harmony In The Community
Middle School students at Harmony Science Academy Austin have been involved with a Student Civic Leadership Program in partnership with R.E.A.D. (Rundberg Educational Advancement District) Students are in the beginning stages of an initiative to beautify the Rundberg community in a series of projects. Mentors Lynn Osgood of GO collaborative and a UT Austin student have been helping the students along with their projects.
Real World Economics
As part of a final project, graduating seniors in Economics class are required to prepare a business plan for a concept that they have developed. The students end the four-week-long project with formal presentations to members of the Pflugerville business community.. “They receive constructive criticism and feedback by individuals who have been successful in their field and are eager to share their experiences and knowledge with the students,” says Economics teacher, Jeremy Lippart. The goal is for students to get real-world exposure to expectations of the work force and at minimum practice soft skills needed for the transition to adulthood.
Continuing a near decade-long trend, Harmony Public Schools again ranked among the best high schools in Texas according to U.S. News annual report, Best High Schools survey. According to 2018 Best High Schools report, Harmony School of Excellence- Austin received GOLD MEDAL and ranked # 62 among all public and charter high schools in Texas and ranked # 374 among all 28000 public high schools Nationwide.

When asked about summer plans, Fakhri added that he is looking forward to the NASA High School Aerospace Scholars program at Johnson Space Center, and will be participating in the MIT LaunchX entrepreneurial program. HPS AUSTIN PROMOTES A LOVE OF LEARNING
Harmony Delivers Excellence
The City of Austin’s Community Youth Development Program has honored our outstanding sophomore, Henry for going above and beyond. Mexic-Arte Museum’s Screen It! program introduced our youth the principles of screen printing and related careers in the arts. Henry alongside other students experienced the serigraphy process by creating their very own t-shirts! We are #HarmonyProud of Henry for excelling in Mexic-Arte Museum’s Screen It! Program.
