Cats and dogs are the most popular pets in the world. Cats are more lonely and cheaper. Dogs are obedient but it needs more attention. Cats and dogs vary from one another, cats are independent, and dogs are loyal.

Cats are the most popular pet in the United States. There are 88 million pet cats. The worlds largest cats measured 48.5 inches long. Evidence shows domestic cats have been around since 3600 B.C ,2000 years before Egypt's pharaohs. Cats make more than 100 different sounds whereas dogs make around 10. A cats brain is 90% similar to a humans.

In the United States there are 74 million dogs. There a more than 150 dog breeds, divided into 8 classes: sporting, hound, working, terrier, toy, non-sporting, herding, and miscellaneous. All dogs, regardless of breed, are direct descendants of wolves and technically of the same species. Contrary to popular belief, dogs do not sweat by salivating. They swear through the pads of their feet.

Dogs have 42 teeth, cats have 30. A dogs memory is only about five minutes long, but kitties can remember up to 16 hours. Both species walk on all four feet. Both cats and dogs have fur to keep them warm, and they periodically clean their coats by licking them. Cats and dogs were both domesticated ny humans.

As you can see the differences and similarities of cats and dogs vary from one another. If you're thinking of buying a pet go with dogs because they're known to be humans best friend.
