We are a non-profit educational and social organization, dedicated to promoting a vegetarian lifestyle, and uniting vegetarians, vegans and those interested in vegetarianism / veganism in the Halifax area and throughout the Maritime Provinces.

Annual General Meeting 2019

Please, join us for our Annual General Meeting at the newly opened restaurant 902, Tuesday January 29 at 6:30,. 1579 Dresden Row, Halifax. At this dinner we welcome everyone, members as well as non members.

However, it is an AGM, and so, non members may not vote. If you want to vote, you can become a member at the meeting.

We are always interested in finding people who are interested in helping us out. So if you have ideas or suggestions, or are interested in volunteering at our events, or if you want to join our board, please, don't hesitate to let us know.

The menu

Falafel Platter: Three marvelous vegetable patties made of ground chickpeas, vegetables and a special blend of spices. - Served with salad, Hummus, rice and pita bread.

Turkish Lentil Kofta Platter: Lentil, cracked wheat, onion and tomato paste. - Served with salad, rice and Hummus.

Bourak Platter: Filo-pastry filled with spinach and Feta cheese. - Served with rice, salad and Hummus.

Mixed Meze Platter: Served selections of appetizers including Hummus, Baba Ganouj, Turkish Lentil Kofta, Tzatziki, Falafel, and Yalanji. - Served with warm Pita bread.

Special Mized Meze Platter: Several selections of appetizers including Syrian Green Beans, Moutabal, Yalanji, Turkish Lentil Kofta and Ajvar. - Served with warm Pita bread.

Veggie Lover Platter: Mix of Baba Ganouj, Hummus, two Falafel patties and Bourak. - Served with warm Pita bread.

Vegan Platter: Mix of Hummus, Baba Ganouj, Turkish Lentil Kofta, Ajvar and Falafel. - Served with warm Pita bread.

Okra Stew: Baby okra stew. Cooked with tomato paste, vegetables, and spices. - Served with your choice of rice or salad.

Curried Veggie Stew: Slow cooked vegetables including potato, carrots, green pepper, tomato, onions, ginger, baby corn, and crookneck pumpkin. With a blend of spices. - Served with your choice of rice or salad.

Syrian Green Beans: A simple green beans dish that has delightful aroma. Made with tomato, garlic, cilantro, and virgin olive oil. - Served hot with rice or salad

As always, reservations are required. Seating is limited.
