Ernesto "Che" Guervara was born June 14th 1928 in Rosario, Argentina in his school studies he excelled as a scholar and as an athlete. Later on in his life he started absorbing socialism. In order to avoid serving in the army under Argentina's dictator Juan Pero'n, Guervara left the country after earning his medical degree at the University of Buenos Aires in 1953. Juan traveled all throughout Latin America, in 1954 when he was in Guatemala the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency overthrew the elected government. The United States government always thought that revolution was the only answer. He soon left for Mexico, there is where he met Fidel Castro and his brother Raul. For the next several years he was involved in the revolution that involved overthrowing the Cuban dictator Fulgenico Bastista. Guevara became a Cuban citizen and held an important post in Fidel Castro's new government. Near the end of 1964, Guevara's radicalism started to become a problem. He later left Cuba with hopes of forming popular upraises in Africa. His attemt to lead a Marxist insurrection in Congo failed which caused him to returnto Cuba. He stayed in Cuba and continued his work on starting a revolution on other countries. He came into conflict again with Castro and Cuba's soviet backers.
