Erin & Brian's Italian Honeymoon Tailored for you by Karen Baker of Blissful Honeymoons

I'm so happy to share with you the Italian honeymoon I've customized for the two of you. I've tried to take into account your wishes:

  • Travel to several chosen locations in Italy.
  • Transportation in between cities.
  • Well located hotels.
  • Opportunity for a day at the beach or pool.
  • Opportunity to explore culture and cuisine without exceeding your budget.

Enough talk - Andiamo!

You'll depart Philly on the evening of September 4th. You can seek out breakfast on your layover in Frankfurt and then fly nonstop to Naples. You'll have a private transfer to the Amalfi Coast.

Marina Riviera

Set in a converted noble villa overlooking Amalfi’s promenade and beach, this boutique hotel features bright Mediterranean décor. Guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Amalfi coastline from the terrace with a white wrought-iron canopy. Family-operated, the hotel attracts travelers seeking a quiet and relaxed Amalfi Coast vacation.

Situated on Amalfi's promenade and beach, this hotel is located 100 meters from Amalfi's city center. And right nearby, there is The Grotta dello Smeraldo (Emerald Grotto), a marine cave with luminous green waters. Guided rowboats depart for the grotto from several ports along the coast.

Your deluxe room features a balcony with a gorgeous sea view, air-conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, electronic safe, and internet access. The bathroom includes a soaking tub and separate rain shower. You'll also enjoy a daily breakfast.

During your four-night stay on the coast, you'll have time to relax by the pool and soak up the scenery while you adjust to the time-zone change. Then on September 7th, you'll enjoy a boat trip to Capri. You'll learn all about the island on this full-day tour and you'll have time to explore on your own. You'll even have the opportunity to snorkel from the boat!

On Saturday, September 9th, you'll have a private transfer back to Naples where you'll board the train to Florence.

Hotel santa Maria novella

Located on the Piazza Santa Maria Novella, the 19th century hotel is adjacent to Florence's shopping district, 200 meters from the Duomo (Cathedral), and 200 meters from a train station.

A free breakfast buffet is served each morning, while the bar offers a sophisticated setting for enjoying light meals or cocktails on the rooftop terrace. You'll have access to a health club with fitness facilities and sauna, as well as free WiFi, parking, and meeting services.

Your superior room is decorated with antique Italian furnishings. Amenities include free WiFi, satellite LCD TVs, coffee/tea makers, and minibars. Carrara marble bathrooms with designer toiletries add a luxury touch. This hotel will also provide you with daily breakfast.

During your five-night stay in Florence, you'll experience the best Tuscany has to offer! On the 10th, you'll join a small group and drive your own vespas around Tuscany (and of course taste wine!) On the 11th you'll have an amazing cooking class and where you'll visit a local market and then prepare your own lunch at a Tuscan farmhouse! And finally on the 12th, you'll have a full-day tour including Siena, San Gimignano, Chianti and Pisa. But of course, you'll get to stop halfway through for lunch in a winery!

After spending all day on the 13th gathering your souvenirs, you'll have a private transfer to the Florence airport on the 14th. After a lunchtime layover in Frankfurt, you'll return to Philadelphia. You'll arrive at 4:00 p.m. the same day.

Price: $7,359. Includes flights, accommodations, transfers, breakfasts and tours as described. I left you plenty of room in your budget for meals (including a splurge or two!) and more fun on your own!
