What is Pneumonia?

An infection of the lungs that is caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites. It is the inflammation of the alveoli in the lungs, the alveoli fills with liquid making it hard for the oxygen to reach the blood which thne leads to the organs shutting down from the lack of blood flow.

Symptoms

Signs of having Pneumonia includes sharp pains in the chest, constant coughing, shortness of breath, sweating, loss of appetite, chills, fevers, and dehydration.

Preventing Pneumonia

You can prevent Pneumonia by keeping good hygiene, staying up to date with vaccinations, and staying away from smoking.

Treating Pnuemonia

Treating Pneumonia is mainly about taking it easy. You should hydrate, get plenty of rest, and take antibiotics recommended by your doctor.
