Inauguration Day
The inauguration of Margaret Spellings, 18th president of the University of North Carolina, will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at 10:00 am, in Chapel Hill, NC.

Inauguration Ceremony
The inauguration ceremony will be held at Memorial Hall, a historic theater located on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
You must present a ticket to attend the ceremony. Tickets and additional event details will be mailed upon receipt of your RSVP.

Parking
Shuttles will be available to transport guests from off-site parking to Memorial Hall on UNC-Chapel Hill's campus. Parking and shuttle information will be provided to all attendees prior to the event.
Shuttle service begins at 8:30 a.m. Please arrive no later than 9:15 a.m. at the designated parking lot.
Margaret Spellings
Margaret Spellings is president of the 17-campus University of North Carolina. Nationally known as an education thought leader and public policy expert, she previously served as president of the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, Texas; U.S. Secretary of Education; and White House Domestic Policy Advisor for President George W. Bush. She also has served as president and CEO of Margaret Spellings & Company, president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and as senior advisor to then-Governor Bush of Texas. She is a graduate of the University of Houston.
