Marilyn Monroe Model, actress, singer

Marilyn Monroe was an actress, singer, and a model she was born in 1926. Marilyn changed her birth name "Norma Jeane Mortenson" to what we all know now Marilyn Monroe. Below is a video of Marilyn's most famous song I Wanna Be Loved By You – from “Some Like It Hot”

Marilyn married James Dougherty, in 1942. When Jimmy left to go to the South Pacific to fight in the Second world War as many men did, Marilyn joined a local munitions factory to "help the cause" in Burbank, California. It was here that Marilyn got her big break from all the munitions making. Photographer David Conover, was doing a report on the munitions factory to show all the women at work in the factory. He was "struck by the beauty and photogenic nature of Marilyn", and he used her in many of his photos. (Click below to lean more about him)

With the help of David Conover it enabled her to start a career as a model and she was later featured on the front of many different magazine covers.
