Satisfaction is found less in what we do and more in who we are. Some pride themselves in being realists and practical people. They are people who are too 'real' and in control to think of any higher form of being as valid. I knew a fellow who described those emotionally in touch with themselves and others as 'touchy-fealies.' I wondered how much he had been loved, touched and felt as child because he seemed so robotic and in need of a genuine sense of being. We all have equal value in Father's eyes. All are equally loved. But some live in a lesser state of being because they choose to, or have been lied to. This is why Jesus came to set all captives free. Where His Spirit is there is liberty and life. Life because there is a real sense of being when Jesus is our life.

Bound to Jesus we are liberated from twisted ideas of God and misconceptions about ourselves.

'He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free' Luke 4.18 NIV.

In His light we see light, which is to say we enter into a revelation of the truth about God and about ourselves. This is called utilising the Jesus lens. We know as God knows in Christ. We are as Christ is because He is our life. You will never be alive if your spirit is dead.

Your real being is to be a son/daughter of God. You are less than yourself and in a false sense of being in anything less than Jesus. Find yourself in His person. Not in Christianity or some substitute for His real presence and agency in you and with you. We become less than we are when we deny our humanity by accepting a kind of normal that kills a part of our being. The more we do this the more we walk around with dead bits as part of our life. Think of a person with areas of dead flesh on their body. Maybe think of a zombie. Think of Paul's question 'Who shall deliver us from this body of death?' The answer is Christ as our life. Life is not found in knowing more. It's found in being daughters and sons. Not notionally but in spirit and truth. When Christ is our life we are one with Him and one with Father. He told us this when He said, 'Those who eat me will live because of Me.' They will be their real selves having entered the life of sonship. He said, 'This is real food.'

Wholesome and nutritious. Not religious junk food without substance or agency.

Some live haggard, mechanical lives. Others live religious lives. They claim the anointing yet exist just outside life in the Spirit. They are still attached to the law. Any attachment to the law denies our life in the Spirit and shrivels our being. Living in a mode abandoned by God has drastic effects on our Kingdom life. It shrivels our being. This is our lot when we remain in the old covenant.

Separation from God separated Adam from life. As whole as we may imagine ourselves to be in law or religion - in the spirit we are never more than a carcass in comparison to our status when Christ is our life.

We are joined to the body of death when we live from the law, are joined to the law or attempt a life in anything that is not Jesus Himself. This is because we have remained in separated atrophied Adam and have not actually stepped into Christ. In the Spirit, you are one flesh with Jesus. He is your life in spirit and in truth.

No ned to live as a phantom of yourself when the reality is Christ and you are His Expression

There is a higher reality, a far more vital state of being in the new covenant called 'life in the Spirit.' This is human life made more human because Christ is incarnate in us - the transfiguring of our being in an exchange in the Spirit which see's Jesus manifest as Jack and Mary. This is far more than a good deed effected or a wrong rejected. It is Christ come in our flesh. Your flesh. Ours is the reality of a personal Jesus who is our life and who lives in us by His Spirit. None who live from rules, ideas, prohibitions and injunctions can be as alive as those who live from the Spirit. On the contrary. Those who persist in law and dally in the letter are surrounded by a cloud of darkness and a shroud of un-life.

You are not here to keep the law. or to copy Christ, because you cannot. You are here to rejoice in the fact that He Himself is your life. This is your fitness of soul and spirit. It is you in your body as a life-giving spirit who has embraced your new covenant inheritance which is Christ your life.

'He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life' 2 Cor 3.6 NIV.
