Show Choir Varsity Show Choirs Wrap up the competition season

This weekend Debtones performed at Milikin University where the all girl choir was crowned grand champions, won best vocals, and best choreography.
Kaitlynn Siemons '18 performs choreography from the second number "Abracadabra".
Junior Adena Goss solos in the Debtones' opening number, "March of the Witch Hunters" from Broadway musical Wicked.
Ashley Chastain '18 performs during the second song, "The Mob Song" from Beauty and the Beast.
The Debtones will perform at their final competition of the season this weekend at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
The fourth number, "Dance with the Devil," includes a solo from senior Grace Long.

The Varsity coed show choir, Sound System, also placed first this weekend and won best vocals, costume, and choreography. Senior Haley Burgh won the competition's solo category.
Sarah Anderson '18 sings along side Haley Burgh '18 (not pictured) as lead soloists in the closing song, "Game Of Thrones".
Senior Lauryn Groce favors the ballad the most in Sound System's contest show, "my favorite part [of the show] is the ballad because it's from the Greatest Showman and once people hear it, they are suddenly interested in the show! People love to feel like they can connect to our shows, and if they've seen the movie, they can feel like this show is giving them that dream," Groce said.
Tyler Waston and Ashlynn King hit their final pose after performing the fourth number "Thunderstruck".
Morganne Keller '18 starts out the show with a solo in the first number of "Bad Romance" originally by Lady GaGa. While her outfit may look elaborate Keller believes it helps her take on the prominent role, "the dress is amazing. While quite large and extremely hot, it doesn't affect my performance in a negative way. If anything it's easier to feel the part because of my dress," Keller said. Keller won best female vocalist at Milikin's competition this past weekend.
Catch Sound System also in Disney World alongside the Debtones this Saturday at the nationals competition, The Heart of America.
