RMC vs Lakehead Saturday - 2018/10/27

Thunder Bay, ON - After a 4-3 defeat the night before, RMC (2-6) had their chance at revenge on the road against the Lakehead Thunderwolves (4-2) on Saturday night. After a fire alarm delayed the start of the game, Lakehead swept the weekend, winning 4-2.

RMC's Rhett Willcox scored the first goal of the game to give the Paladins an early lead.

Lakehead responded with two goals late in the period from Aaron Wesley-Chisel and Austin McDonald.

1st Intermission

RMC was behind 2-1 after 20 minutes.

After Lakehead increased their lead on a goal from Daniel Del Paggio, Paladins rookie Liam Stagg got one back for RMC.

2nd Intermission

With 20 minutes left, Lakehead led RMC 3-2.

Despite putting 10 shots on goal in the final period, RMC was unable to find an equalizer.

Sam Schutt scored the final goal for Lakehead on an empty net.

RMC has a shorter road trip next weekend to play at Ottawa (5-0-1) and Carleton (4-1-2). The Paladins beat Carleton in a shootout at home earlier this season.
