MG: The Process THE STEps TO publishing an issue AND THEIR CORRESPONDING stRess levels

STEP ONE: We brainstorm ideas for the upcoming issue and decide on a deadline (usually two weeks from this day).

stress level:

STEP TWO: Writers and photographers hand in stories ON or BEFORE the deadline, along with three descriptive, eye-catching headlines.

stress level:

STEP THREE: Senior Copy Editor, Andrew, edits stories for grammar and clarity and sends them to Co-Editors, Nicole and Marita.

stress level:

STEP FOUR: Marita and Nicole look through articles and send them to Crystal and Jody, who begin laying out the issue.

stress level:

STEP FIVE: More editing within the Indesign file and the editorial board go back-and-forth with suggestions and edits and the layout designers get picky about formatting and headlines.

steps level, or: Crystal and Jody be like:

STEP SIX: The layout editors send the issue out to printers and get it approved for printing and the rest of us wait.

STEP SEVEN: Kevin picks up the issues from the printers and we begin reading it and handing them out.

stress level:

STEP EIGHT: We beginning planning for the next issue and start the process all over again.
