EP for Everyone You're all in the family to us

We're making some changes...

When we started VYNL Race Bikes, we did it with the intention of creating fantastic machines within reach of everyone who wanted to partake in the sport and win. Our partnership with Team ClifBar epitomized this mission - the team was top of podium for the Overall Team Standings until the very last race, we captured one win and several podiums, and we got the Overall Young Rider jersey.

It was clear to us from the start that our core rider, the one who really picked up what we were laying down, came from the same roots that we did - the bike industry. But it's also important to us to support those who are passionate, eager, and not lucky enough to be in the bike industry.

So with that in mind, we're introducing all new pricing, all new options, and an all new process, that we feel will better support everyone in the production pipeline.

new pricing

Our new pricing model - EP for Everyone - is pretty straightforward: For now and always, everyone who wants a VYNL will pay what used to be our Employee Purchase price: $1449 for Road Framesets, and $1499 for CX framesets.

New Process

Step One: You go to our SHOP page and pull the trigger on a VYNL Road or VYNL CX rig, putting down a $500 deposit towards the final cost of your frame/fork.

Step Two: We place you on a Purchase Order - this is what we send to our builder, Frank the Welder, on a monthly basis. Basically, it’s our order sheet for him.

Step Three: Depending on Frank’s current wait time and order list, your bike will be ready anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks from your original date. So, if you place a deposit in April, you’ll be on the May PO, and your frame/fork will ship to us here at VYNL between June 1st and August 31st.

Step Four: Once we have the bikes from the PO in our hands, we’ll do a final QC on all frames, and send to paint. Then, when frame is back from paint, we will request the balance on your invoice and ship you your very own VYNL Race Bike.

New Options

This new process and pricing means that we'll now have the ability to give you more of exactly what you want. Di2? Sure, it's just an extra $50. Want eTap? Sure, that's an extra nada. Want a slightly taller/shorter headtube or seattube? That starts at just $300. Custom paint, as always, is an option - but all that's due up front is just the $500 non-refundable deposit.

Ready to get the process started? Good. We can't wait to see you crushing on a VYNL.
