What do you do for Yuba Water Agency?

My role is to work with all parties to sell Yuba Water Agency’s hydroelectric energy and capacity products into the California Independent Service Operator (CAISO) market in the most opportune intervals each day, while ensuring all market rules and contract provisions are met.

Have your essential duties changed since COVID-19? If so, what has changed?

While Yuba Water Agency is considered an essential service agency, my duties have not changed outside of working from home, when possible.

What do you enjoy most about working for Yuba Water Agency?

I really enjoy the ever-changing environment we work in. Keeping up with rules and regulations in the energy sector can be very challenging. I also have had the privilege to work with many talented professionals.

Tell us something about yourself that most of us don’t know.

I started my professional career as a certified public accountant specializing in auditing state and local agencies, including Marysville and Yuba City, Yuba and Sutter counties, and Yuba Water Agency.

Before working here, what was the most interesting job you had?

I began working in the energy sector the year the California Energy Crisis began (Think Enron debacle, PG&E Bankruptcy #1, Calpine Bankruptcy). It was a tough start, but I learned a lot and after 15 years I was very excited to join Yuba Water Agency and witness it flourish on its own after 50 years of operating under PG&E.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I spend as much time as possible with my family. We are blessed with two beautiful daughters and four grandchildren. I also enjoy golfing and traveling with my husband, family and friends.
