My AGP Learning Journal Greg Hodgson

This is a my Adobe Gen Pro learning journal. Instead of posting my reflections on separate assignment posts within the course forums I intend to keep a fluid journal reflecting on the assignment, the content creation process, the creative process and most importantly on what I have learnt.

Assignment One: For Class 1, Identify a problem that you would like to solve as part of this UX course. Over the course of this week, find a time to conduct some observations or chat through some questions with people who would be users of this.

Personas for the Outdoor Adventurer (Larry Bucio 2016)

I have seen that planning a trip for the outdoor enthusiast is too complicated. Having to look up information on things to do, find locations, and organize an agenda an itinerary with friends and family. For those who just "wing it" it is still fun but they miss out on getting the most out of their weekends and possibly risk getting lost and possibly even getting hurt. I wanted to solve this problem. So I had a friend plan a trip and I went on it and observed. I asked questions and even made new friends from other adventurers we met while down in southern Utah. I learned a lot about how a persona can greatly impact future design choices and even inspire you to look at the solving the problem from a different perspective that I had not personally thought of. Thank you for all the great information!
