Racism has no place at Steilacoom High School. We are committed to ensuring that our students of color feel comfortable and supported in our learning environment and, as an administrative group and as a collective staff, we have a lot of listening and learning to do in order to more fully understand what experiences our students carry with them as they enter our building each day. To anyone in our community who is struggling at this time...we see you, we hear you, and we will do our best to teach and lead our young people.

Updates for All Students

We have learned a lot during this semester! We are certain that you have too, and we want to know what distance learning was like for our kids and for our families. Please consider giving us your honest feedback. A team of staff members created a survey for students and a separate survey for parents. Neither survey will take more than five minutes to complete. The data we collect will be shared with district planning teams to make improvements for any future distance learning sessions we must endure. Both surveys will close on 6/12/20. Thank you!

Have you checked out our 2020 Senior Awards on YouTube? Congratulations to our seniors who earned their place as a distinguished graduate.

We look forward to seeing students on our Drop-Off Days next Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. As a reminder, follow the directions of our staff members and please stay in your cars until otherwise directed. We will hustle to get everything collected and get you on your way quickly. Arrival times are organized by grade and last name.

We have confirmation that the 2020 yearbooks will be available for students at the Drop-Off Days. We will set up a station so you can get yours next week!

Pierce County Skills Center and the Bethel School District has received approval to offer Summer School this year. All courses will be taught in a 100% distance learning setting. For more information and an application, visit the PCSC website.

Please note that both ASB (associated student body) and class elections for the 20-21 school year have been moved to the start of the fall semester.

The Cirkled In "No Sweat" Scholarship is accepting applications until 6/30. There is no minimum GPA requirement and no long essay, so it's a great place to start your scholarship search.

Updates for Student-Athletes

We have heard that appointment for sports physicals are very backed up right now. Please remember that physicals are typically good for two years and students will not be allowed to participate without an up-to-date physical that lasts them through the entire season. Schedule your sports physicals now!
