MY PEOPLE AND THEIR TRADITIONS LETICIA MOSQUEDA

NOVEMBER, 6, 2021 - JANUARY 8, 2022

MEET THE ARTIST

Mosqueda is a Mexico City-based artist with a background in Marketing. She began attending arts-based workshops in 2000, continuing her art education since and most recently studying at Austin Community College. She has developed a vibrant color palette and careful consideration of her subjects in order to best celebrate the cultures, traditions, and people of Mexico. The pride she has for her country is palpable as the viewer examines her work and discovers the diversity of its inhabitants. Mosqueda's curiosity drives her to learn more about those she paints. The result is an endearing and personal, yet relatable reflection of a diverse country.

LA CATRINA PAINTING DEMO

The recorded version can be found below in the video section of the webpage!

Don't speak Spanish? Don't worry! We still invite you to join and follow along as Mosqueda brings La Catrina to life!
