Hugo Carbajal has dedicated himself to the art of acting for over 20 years.

He is a student, teacher, artist, and patron of the performing arts.

From the stage to the screen, and everything in between.


Hugo is a bilingual actor, teacher, and director. Born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihahua, Mexico. Migrated to Denver, Colorado at the age of 10. His interest in the performing arts was sparked by his participation in his high school production of Into the Woods where he played the role of Narrator. He has since dedicated himself to the pursuit of acting by studying it, performing it, and teaching it. He is currently an on-line drama professor at Los Medanos College, as well as working actor in commercial, film, and television in the Los Angeles area.


Hugo earned a Master of Fine Arts in Actor Created Physical Theatre from Naropa University in collaboration with the London International School of Performing Arts. He has studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade and The Groudlings in Los Angeles.

Hugo's first film experience was on the set of Silver City, by John Sayles. He has since worked on several other films such as: El Camino, Lifeline, Cumpleañera, The Boatman, Cold-Pressed, among others.

Hugo is grateful to have had the opportunity to co-star on television shows such as Scandal, Chance, The Mick, and Goliath.


Hugo has performed with great theatre companies in Denver, The San Francisco Bay Area, and Arizona. He is a collective company member of the historic, Tony award winning political theatre company, San Francisco Mime Troupe. He has worked with companies such as: Arizona Theatre Company, Marin Theatre Company, Shotgun Players, TeatroVision, Su Teatro, among others.
